Principal's Message
Hello Parents and/or Guardian,
In a spirit of humility and gratefulness I introduce myself as principal of Bonsall Family School. Know that I consider myself sincerely fortunate to work with the community and students of the Whitman Park section of Camden, New Jersey. As a product of the Whitman Park community and a graduate of Camden High School, I am especially aware and committed to the success of each student.
On the curriculum front, we will be implementing several new programs and/or subject area(s): Fast Math – a technology based math program, the expansion of LL Teach to Grade 5, the introduction of Algebra to Grade 8 and Harcourt Publishers, StoryTown Literacy Program (K-5). Know that all said instructional programs and or subject are(s) are accompanied by comprehensive professional development and sustained follow-up session, inclusive of but not limited to in-class support services. At the same time, all teachers will receive professional development in “Best Practices” among other research-based topics.
Additionally, eligible students in Grade 7 will be able to apply for the Rutgers Future Scholars Program that will allow them to receive the opportunity for a four-year scholarship to attend Rutgers University.
Per Camden City Public Schools uniform policy, all students are required to wear the school uniform: Khaki pants or skirt and sky or navy blue shirts. Also, the development of a new school website is in progress…more news will be coming soon!
