Attendance and Lateness Policies
Lateness to School
- All students are to report to class at 8:25am
- Students arriving after 8:38am are marked late
- When late to school, a note from home must accompany the student. When late as a result of a medical appointment, a note from the doctor or dentist is expected.
- Continued lateness (2 or more) will necessitate the scheduling of a parent conference.
- 1st offense: student/teacher conference
- 2nd offense: student/teacher/parent conference
- 3rd offense: student/teacher/parent/guidance conference
- 4th offense: administrative detention
Attendance (absences)
Attendance is important. Attend school daily and come on time. When students return to school after being absent, a note from home explaining the reason for their absence must accompany them.
Any absence of five (5) days or more requires a doctor’s note.
Leaving School Early
A parent/guardian must sign an office form before a student may be released early.
